CPower Remote Operations Center

The CPower Remote Operations Center (ROC) monitors the performance of clients ' loads and communicates with utility and grid operators to respond to energy curtailment events. Located in North Adams, MA, the ROC is staffed 24/7/365 by highly trained technical professionals with expertise in emergency response and technical diagnostics. These technical specialists also understand the unique features of every load in every program in which CPower participates. When a client interacts with the ROC team, they reach individuals who are qualified to speak to them about their unique load, its operations and curtailment protocols and the programs they are participating in.

The CPower ROC team manages manual and fully automated loads, depending on the program selected by clients and their curtailment preferences. During demand response events, the ROC team remotely deploys client loads within minutes and notifies client control personnel via voice, data and/or electronic signal. The ROC team also monitors the performance of all of CPower's larger loads in real-time and is able to diagnose and resolve issues, thereby minimizing disturbance to clients' core businesses.

The CPower ROC currently supports clients in New York, New England, the Mid-Atlantic region (PJM), Texas (ERCOT), California and Ontario. The company's clients include many large commercial, industrial, retail, institutional and residential energy end-users that operate facilities across North America. All of these clients entrust their energy assets to the CPower ROC team.
